Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She currently holds the position of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the owner of the National Basketball Association. Buss hails originally from California was born into an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon, after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. When her parents broke up in 1972, she was convinced that they had abandoned her. As she turned 19 old, she joined the family's business, serving as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The team was later renamed an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was the the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss along with her five brothers and sisters and their father who owned the Lakers and ruled them up to his death in 2013, took over this ownership through the trust. Each of them had equal vote rights. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also co-owns Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with headquarters within Los Angeles.
