Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to fame after releasing her debut album Age Ain't Nothing but A Number in the year 1994. At the age of 15, the album achieved Gold standing. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought the singer to the forefront. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It contained If You Girls Only Knew the top-selling single. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B singing through this album. She was a part of martial arts legend Jet Li in 2000's romance-action film Romeo Must Die. The role was offered to her after being spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards event. She was in 2002 when she appeared as involved in the Anne Rice-produced horror film Queen of the Damned. She then got into the Matrix by playing Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also performed in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. While her initial professional career was mostly dominated by small films and television performances, she rose to greater prominence in the mid-2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). Commercials for her show have included major brands, such as Volvo. The actress currently resides in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting career.
